Since competing for Brad Womack ’s heart on the 15 th season of The Bachelor , fan favorite Jackie Gordon has finally found her happy ending – with JP Morgan Managing Director Marcus Kline .

Jackie, who met her now hubby on leap day, Feb. 29, 2012, at a NYC bar during a Bachelor -related event, says she knew he was special from the moment she laid eyes on him.

“[Marcus] was my type. He was tall, strong looking, and very handsome, with a genuine smile. How could I pass up meeting THAT guy?” Jackie has said. “And just like that, I walked up to them and reintroduced myself. The rest is history."

Although Jackie didn’t find her Prince Charming within the Bachelor crew (she's also previously dated Bachelor Pad ’s Ames Brown and Craig Robinson ), she doesn’t regret going on the show. In fact, she thought it was an integral part on her journey to finally finding “the one.”

"It's always amazing for me to think that while The Bachelor didn't work out in my favor, it ultimately lead me to 'the one,'" says Jackie. "If I hadn't been on The Bachelor , I wouldn't have been at the bar that night, and I wouldn't have met Marcus. It constantly reminds me how important each 'little' event in our lives can be."

So much for reality TV romance. By the time the most romantic scene of Bachelor Pad yet aired on ABC Monday night, Ames and Jackie -- who rode off into the sunset together at the end of the episode -- had already broken up.

The couple told Entertainment Weekly in separate interviews Tuesday that after a romantic week of wine-tasting in Napa upon leaving the  Bachelor Pad , the relationship fell apart when the couple returned to their real lives in New York.

"It ended a little suddenly," she said. "I was pretty taken aback, kinda knocked down a little bit. I thought that he was the one. I certainly fell in love with him. I feel like the rug was kinda pulled out from underneath me. I feel like we went from perfection and the potential to be the perfect couple to kind of having my heart broken."

And when she was eliminated Monday at the second rose ceremony, and Brown jumped in the limo with her and bragged about choosing love over money – ending his hopes at winning $250,000 – their relationship looked like it had a fairy tale ending.

“Um, well, we had a great time on the show and chose love over money in the competition,” portfolio manager Brown, 31, said in the weekly conference call to reporters on Tuesday. “We are not still dating but we enjoyed every moment we had together. After a little while, we split up. Nothing too exotic about it.”

Gordon, a 27-year-old artist/assistant teacher, called Brown a “wonderful person” who “made me feel very comfortable,” but she suggested the breakup wasn’t mutual.

“I was shocked that it ended as it did. I thought it was potential forever,” she said. “It came out of nowhere. As far as I knew, things were great. I thought it lasted much longer than it did. I guess you didn’t. It takes two.”

Ames, who competed on Ashley Hebert ’s season of The Bachelorette  but was kicked off after their hometown date, is currently the frontrunner for The Bachelor sources tell us.

“I personally was definitely shocked that it ended as it did,” Jackie told reporters today after the break up. “I was certainly not expecting that. I thought this was something that had potential forever, but you know, with every relationship, nothing is maybe exactly perfect.”
